What Should I Do?

Again, hello Blogger! I have used Blogger once before and I quit, moved to MySpace Blog and now I left MySpace and back to Blogger again!

I'll just make this blog the continuation from my MySpace Blog. So today, the topic is 'What Should I Do?'. I have moved to a new home stay in my study progress in Australia, and this one is really not worthy to be called a room. My room is an attic room, so the second floor of this house, is my room, just a few metres room. It got a fine toilet, and a dressing room where I put my clothes. Well, actually not. It was actually a store room, where my host put her winter clothes, Christmas tree and camping utilities. So I was given a small space to put my clothes. And I am not satisfied with it. See the picture beside? That's the space I am talking about. My things are until that round mirror on the table. And just few days before, I saw a cockroach on the floor in that store room. COCKROACH! One night, I went down wanting to drink from the kitchen. Guess what I saw? A COCKROACH again! It was crawling on the cabinet, and I asked my host about that, she said as long as it doesn't dirty things or disturb us during our sleep, it is fine. FINE? OMG, I am dying here and she's fine about it? Maybe she never masters her Biology back in high school. Cockroaches carry germs on their foot, and YOU, meaning HUMAN's EYES can't see germs because they are very small components! Unless you see them with microscope! And she said the cockroach isn't dirtying anything on the cabinet where she uses to prepare food? No wonder I have been feeling unwell every time I had her food; my stomach a little bit turned here and over. Thankfully I got a strong stomach, but probably I am not really healthy too. I mean, I slept like 6 hours every night. Lack of sleep makes you unhealthy.

Well, the picture beside is the room. There are two windows in the picture, actually it's three, I just didn't get the angle right when I shot it. There's also air con behind the picture (not visible). It's summer now, and she said to open the window if you feel hot. Yeah, I opened it, and yes, it's windy THAT DAY. Yesterday was hell. And today. There's no wind at all. The room is humid, stupid. She won't let me use the air con, saying electricity bill is really expensive. Yeah, I understand that, but won't you let me open it at least few minutes to cool the room? My previous host would let me do that.

It is because of the room. An attic room, its contact with the outside is far more closer. I mean, sunlight pours down to the roof and my room is located beneath the roof. So in summer, the room temperature will be very hot, and in winter it will be very cold. Just logical thinking. With weather this hot, electrical appliances in my room, such as my laptop will go damaged as well. Electronics must be stored in not too COLD and not too HOT place, and it's already too HOT here, even though I didn't use my laptop, it's hot like cooked and it doubles up if I was using it like now.

Oh yeah, since my incident with the cockroach in the store room above (first pic), I moved all my things, and clothes to the space outside covered in blue, near the desk and chair (second pic. I never used that room again, and I closed it tight, covered every corner I could reach and the door with insect repellant I bought back in Indonesia when I went back for holiday. FYI, insect repellants here are so not effective. Unless you buy Mortein, Baygon (the spray), that would be effective, but even the smallest bottle (length from your thumb to your little finger) of that costs $6.00 (Rp 54.000,00) when you can buy the largest one with only about Rp 20.000,00 or more in Indonesia. Crazy right?

Oh yeah, one most absurd thing. This host of mine got an iron in her room. I saw it and I acted innocent and asked her if she had one, because I need to iron my clothes. And did you know what she said?

'People usually had a set of iron themselves.'

That's really absurd! Ridiculous! I mean, I am paying for this home stay! She doesn't have the slightest intention to borrow it to me and kept stressing that the iron is in her room. Well, iron is not the wall, you can drag it out. Well, I think she doesn't want to borrow it and it is obviously a NO so I didn't ask again.
Well, for your information, I didn't come to Australia to buy house appliances like an iron! I came here for studies for God sake! And she asked me to have one. Haha! I can die from laughing. This is one worst home stay, oh my God. How can I even study like this? It's hot and humid now, and I bet will get worse in the following seasons.
I don't feel at home as I have felt in my previous home stay. I even packed my things, ready to leave any moment. See my bags above? I put all my unused things in the suitcase and some of my clothes I might not wear often into bags.

All the things left outside are the picture below.

Well, that is better. I have consulted my agent and   the home stay here as well. I  probably will hear from them anytime today soon. What a luck having this host. Surely this 2011 is not really welcoming me eh?
